Job Summary:

Functions as a technologist in the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory.  Performs routine molecular testing including DNA/RNA extractions, PCR, electrophoresis, and sequencing.  Primarily work day shift M-F in a non-hospital setting. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or physics and less than 2 years clinical lab experience or with a NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical laboratory experience performing molecular testing preferred.
