Job Summary: The Microbiology & Immunology department is looking for a candidate to complement ongoing research programs within a functioning human virology laboratory. The position would entail performing primary research (bench work), learning standard molecular biology techniques, performing supportive work for ongoing projects (reagent synthesis, standard tissue culture methodologies). Candidate is expected to be highly motivated with background knowledge and experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques, including DNA and RNA handling, protein analyses, and bacterial genetics. This position will support ongoing research and will work/interact with other researchers on the scientific team. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in bench sciences related field and at least one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Candidate must have knowledge and experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques, protein analyses, and bacterial genetics. Previous work in the field of virology and/or cellular signaling is a plus. Tissue culture/cell culture experience also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher preferred.
