This position will support data analysis and computational studies for multiple laboratories. Operational needs include: Collect non-processed genomic data from online datasets as indicated by supervisor, collect non-processed genomic data from in-house experiments as directed by supervisor, process data as needed for analysis, including standardized procedures for normalization and filtering, analyze datasets to perform comparisons, differential analysis, and data grouping as requested by supervisor establish SOPs and standard methods for data curation and analysis, and summarize results of data analysis and prepare results to be used in grant applications and scientific publications.

High school diploma and 2 years of college experience. Competence in Unix/Linux computing. Competence in computing grid and cluster technology. Competence in Shell scripting. Competence in functional genomic data analysis (RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, ChIP-Seq, etc.).Competence with the R programming language.

Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biology, neuroscience, computational biology, or related fields. Familiarity with high level programming languages (e.g., Python). Understanding of pipelining methods (e.g. Snakemake) and reproducibility strategies (e.g. Jupiter Notebook/Lab). Familiarity with single cell RNA- and ATAC-Seq analysis. Familiarity with database management and curation.
