The Behavior Analyst/Program Coordinator (Board Certified) will perform case management of children with behavior disorders and/or feeding dysfunction who have co-morbid developmental disabilities. Specifically, this position is responsible for: direct supervision of staff; oversight of program implementation; training staff in specific crisis intervention, assessment and treatment procedures; data collection and graphing in excel; conducting progress meetings; participating in multi-disciplinary daily rounds to review cases with all providers; work under supervision of a psychologist/psychiatrist to identify and modify potentially harmful or self-destructive behaviors; case documentation; data storage; and maintaining patient confidentiality. Additional responsibilities include visual inspection of patient treatment data, scheduling staff during work shifts, participating in intake/discharge/treatment planning meetings; and working with the program director to facilitate the goals of the program.
Master's degree or currently enrolled in Master’s degree program in one of the following - Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Special Education or allied discipline to include graduate level coursework in basic principles of behavior, applied behavior analysis, and within-subject research methodology required. *If presently enrolled in a Master’s degree program, the candidate must have completed the relevant course sequence required for certification as a BCBA or NYS license as an LBA.
1 year supervised experience in applied behavior analysis required OR if currently enrolled in a master’s program, must have 2 years supervised practical experience in designing and implementing applied behavior analysis assessments and interventions. Certified or certified eligible as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required. Certified or certified eligible as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) by the NYS Office of Professions required. *If currently enrolled in a master’s program, completion of the course sequence required for certification as a BCBA/LBA. Familarity in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint required.
