Job Summary: The Wound Ostomy & Continence (WOCN) RN will be responsible and accountable for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound, ostomy, wound vacs, and continence care through out the inpatient hospital setting. Functions primarily as a consultant; provides direct patient care, and education to selected patients. Provides staff development, education, product recommendations in area's of expertise. Participates on committees, and projects as indicated. This position will report to the Nursing Quality Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:

NYS Licensed/Registered (or eligible) RN required. Bachelors degree in Nursing with a minimum of three years acute care RN clinical nurse experience to include knowledge in the prevention, management, and treatment of skin integrity issues and pressure injuries required. Must have strong communication skills. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:

WOCN Board Certified certification preferred or eligible to obtain a national WOCN Board Certified certification within one year of hire.

Weekday shifts and rotating weekends
