Job Summary: Will admit/discharge and assess patients pre and post procedure; administer medication to perform moderate sedation; participate in diagnostic and interventional procedures in Cardiac Cath Lab and Vascular Lab, and other areas of Heart and Vascular Center, as needed; document activities of patient care and testing; assist physicians in testing and assessment of patients; communicate results of testing to physicians, nursing and case managers; educate patients and families; will scrub and circulate in room during procedure as well as run hemodynamic monitor.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent, New York State licensed Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience and certification in CPR/Basic Life Support required at time of appointment. Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment as well as participate in rotating on-call schedule. On-call rotation requires return to workplace time of 30 minutes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred. Nursing experience in an Intensive Care Unit/cardiac/critical care setting preferred.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, flexible Days/early Evening. 8 and 12 hour shifts. On call required.
