Job Summary: The Registered Nurse will admit/discharge and assess patients pre and post procedure in the Heart & Vascular Center holding area and Echo lab. Administer medication to perform moderate sedation in HVC procedures. Document activities of patient care and testing; assist physicians in testing and assessment of patients; communicate results of testing to physicians, nursing and case managers; educate patients and families. Participate in Echo procedures including stress testing and TEE's. Participate in weekend Echo coverage as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent, NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible) with a minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience (preferably in an ICU/cardiac/critical care setting) required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment. Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

ACLS certification preferred. If not currently certified, required within 6 months of hire.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday flexible days between the hours of 6:30 AM-7:30 PM, Participation in Weekend Echo lab rotation coverage.
