Job Summary: The Web Database Applications Developer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of programmers and web designers supporting the design, creation and maintenance of web based applications and content on user friendly, vibrant, and effective web sites. The team is responsible for Upstate's public web site and develops and supports some intranet web services. The position will be primarily responsible for working on web sites that require database driven content or management. The position will analyze client requests, recommend and implement solutions to these requests. The position also will also have responsibility for supporting the underlying OS and Web server technology used to deliver Upstate.edu.  
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems, or related field, minimum of 3 years programming experience required. Demonstrated technical proficiency with UNIX, Apache, SQL, PHP, Perl, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, Oracle and MySQL. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required.
