Job Summary: The Patient Care Specialist will be responsible for data management to maintain adequate reliability; collect and graph data during each client session. In the absence of the Behavioral Therapist, maintain up-to-date graphs, protocols, and progress notes, as well as summarize and calculate data and meet daily with the supervisor to discuss client cases. Participate in the implementation of baseline, treatment, parent training and generalizations sessions. Provide training and support to families. Use time efficiently and productively in the absence of specific assigned duties (i.e maintain treatment areas, program files, work area). Professional conduct to accept responsibilities and conduct oneself in a professional manner; identify problems and suggest strategies for resolving issues. Interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues in a positive manner appropriate to audience and format; maintain confidentiality in all patient related activities. Utilize safe and appropriate handling, management and guidance procedures when transporting or working with patients. Participate in activities as part of the treatment team including meetings, trainings and committees. Engage in ongoing training and development of skills in the fields of ABA, Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual and physical disabilities and special education. Other duties as assigned by senior staff and/or Psychologist.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree and one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must have an understanding of the characteristics of persons with autism and behavior management, Excellent problem solving ability required. Basic computer skills (Window, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, internet explorer and e-mail);ability to utilize department data collection software (e.g DataPal). Must have ability to lift and/or assist individuals in your care and to meet the physical requirements of the specific job. Ability to make independent decisions in the best interest of the clients when circumstances are warranted. 

Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS in Psychology or related field preferred.
