Job Summary: |
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support and first-level customer support for the Telecommunications Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, professionally answering correspondence (i.e., phone calls and email), transferring calls and taking messages as appropriate, serving as first level of support for end-users, answering common end-user questions and escalate issues to other staff as appropriate, entering and updating work order requests and user account information in telemanagement system, and managing calendars for the department and Director. The Administrative Assistant will attend meetings to document and distribute minutes, create and modify documents using Microsoft Office, ensuring accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting, electronically and manually file and maintain documents, maintain printers and fax machines, and schedule maintenance and repairs, distribute mail and faxes, make travel arrangements and prepare reimbursements, maintain office supply inventory, prepare and process purchase requisitions, assist with project-based work, maintain a professional and confidential work environment, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Associate's degree in Business, Technology or related field, and 2 years of relevant administrative experience. Excellent written/oral communication, interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills required. Prior experience with Microsoft Office and office equipment, as well as experience providing first level customer support required.
