Job Summary:

Performs technical procedures including QC in the Stem Cell Laboratory.  Oversees the work of two other technologists in this area.  Performs supervisory functions as necessary for the operation of the laboratory, to assure licensure and accreditation, and reviews all technical work in this area.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS license/eligible to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and 6 years of clinical laboratory experience to include at least one year’s experience in Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell processing, freezing, and storage.  Must be able to distinguish colors for the purpose of performing laboratory tests.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in quality control, regulatory oversight, and quality management preferred.
