Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Manager will provide financial administrative support for the Institute for Global Health & Translational Science from study initiation through study closure, focusing on Accounts Receivables activities. These studies may include industry sponsored clinical trials, grants, investigator-initiated and internally funded studies. The position works closely with the Institute's Post-Award Manager, who has oversight of the accounts payables activities. The position will also work closely with the university's Centralized Post-Award/Research Accounting offices. The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts receivable activities, including: Review and understand the study agreements, billing terms, and approved budget; understand any internal calculations version of the budget showing intended use or distribution of funds; consult the sources of visit and procedure data, such as the electronic clinical trial management system (CTMS), needed for study billing; collate and understand the visit data; work with the Clinical Research Manager and other research staff on any questions or discrepancies; generate complete and accurate invoices to submit to sponsor or to post-award for system invoicing depending on type of study; forward a copy of the invoice to central office for payment tracking; conduct regular account reconciliations to determine what payments have been received and what payments are outstanding or still need to be invoiced; conduct regular reviews of all study accounts receivable activities; generate both study specific and portfolio-wide reports and accounts receivable statements; work with the centralized accounting offices on collection activities as needed; assist in the development of systems, processes and written work instructions for accounts receivable activities for the institute; file electronic and/or hard-copy documents in systems as directed; maintain relevant financial files and folders for easy access to documents; conduct special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and at least two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education & experience required. Strong computer skills also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical research fund administration experience, education and/or training preferred; Experience, training or education with the revenue cycle, clinical research, research administration, and/or grant fund accounting also preferred. 

Work Days:

Monday-Friday, days; evenings and weekends as needed.
