Job Summary:

The IRB Administrator & Chief Compliance Officer for Research will be responsible for the following:

- Responsible for the Human Research Protections Program (HRPP),

- Responsible for all interactions with DHHS Office for Human Research Protections,

- Responsible for interactions with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA),

- Responsible for the coordination of several federal and commercial Central IRB reliance agreements,

- Responsible for the oversight and administration of the Institutional Bio-safety Committee,

- Responsible for the oversight and administration of the Committee for the Oversight of Stem Cell Research,

- Responsible for advising the VP for Research on all research compliance issues and to provide the Upstate community with education on the responsible conduct of human subject research.

Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor's Degree in a Science Discipline and minimum five (5) years of related experience to include experience overseeing human subjects protection programs, IRB Administration, and institutional bio-safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant preferred but not required. Certified IRB Professional certification preferred.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday. Days
