Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for pharmacotherapy and routine medical evaluation and treatment for patients in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic and conduct individual and group therapy. Will provide advance practice nursing care to patients, families and the community through assessment, planning, prescribing and evaluation interventions. Provide patient education and supervision to trainees.  Is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team who demonstrates professionalism and leadership within the institution.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant and current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required.  NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree.   American Nurses Association certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required.

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment. 
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in Ambulatory setting preferred. Previous experience or training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) preferred but will provide training at no cost.
