Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for all administrative functions of the departments of Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI).  The position deals with highly confidential/sensitive information and will report to the Institutional Equity Officer. This position will act as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance from the offices including those with sensitive complaints, and, under the direction of the Institutional Equity Officer, will assist with triage of all incoming reports of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. The incumbent will maintain case records, confidential files and information about reporters, complainants and respondents through an established database. This position will coordinate logistics for investigations with reporters/complainants, respondents and witnesses, including but not limited to arranging interview times and locations and communications to respective parties. The incumbent will assist the offices with training programs for faculty, staff, and students on specific topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as required annual trainings.  The incumbent must be a highly organized problem solver in order to thrive in this environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and two years of related administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong competency and experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. The person must be able to remain calm in stressful situations, be able to deescalate stressful situations, and will frequently exercise independent judgment. Must work effectively with faculty, staff, and students. Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and have strong diplomacy, tact, and attention to detail skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Paralegal training preferred. Experience in academic setting, knowledge of Title IX, Title VII, and VAWA preferred. Strong administrative, budget, and organizational skills, as well as an ability to prioritize work flow preferred.
