Job Summary:

Dr. Koenig’s research at Upstate Medical University focuses on the role of metabolic dysregulation in cells of the innate immune system, and the contribution to the onset of autoimmune diseases. A funded postdoctoral position is available to investigate the specific role of mitochondrial dysfunction in inhibiting cellular translation and to determine non-canonical ribosomal functions in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and should have research experience in RNA biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or bioinformatics. Experience in working with animal models is a plus.  
Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in Microbiology, Virology, Immunology, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:

 
Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm or as needed for experiments
