Job Summary:

The Wound Ostomy Nurse Practitioner will serve as a Full Time Advanced Practice Provider to provide care to patients at Upstate University Hospital. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for inpatient wound and ostomy consults and follow up visits, in addition to outpatient ostomy visits.  Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Wound Care, Acute Care experience preferred
Work Days:

Monday-Friday Days, with Rotation to Weekends & Holidays
