Job Summary: The Registered Nurse in the Stress Echo department provides direct care to patients undergoing procedures in the Echo Department which is part of the Heart and Vascular Center. Responsibilities include administering medication to perform moderate sedation, participating in diagnostic and treatment procedures in Echo,  documenting activities of patient care and testing, and assisting physicians in testing and assessment of cardiac diagnoses. The RN will communicate results of testing to other members of the care team and will be responsible for continuing education to the patient. This position assists in coverage of Heart and Vascular center departments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Nursing, NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible) with a minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience required. CPR-BLS certification and ACLS certification required by time of appointment. Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Acute care experience preferably in an ICU, Telemetry unit, or Cardiac Stress/Echo lab
Work Days: Monday-Friday, days with participation in rotating weekend coverage
