Job Summary:

The Media Production Technician acts as creative director and handles a variety of roles in the production of video and audio programs. Also acts as assistant in the production and post production of multimedia programs directed by the Media Production Manager. Roles include all aspects of media production: planning, script development, lighting, camera operation, technical direction, editing, graphics production and other post production activities. Other roles include managing content and uploading content to the internal media server (Kaltura) and publicly accessible Youtube channel. The Associate consults with faculty, staff and administration regarding video projects. Communication and quality customer service are a priority.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Video/Media Production or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Media Production or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Demonstrated experience with professional videography, post production editing, and the creation of motion graphics.  Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and computer skills are required.   

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Media Production or related field.  Demonstrated editing experience with Adobe Premiere and experience with Adobe After Effects. Demonstrated videography experience with mirror-less cameras. Demonstrated script-writing experience. 

Work Days:

Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p
