Our patients are typically admitted from the ED, outside facilities or transferred from the ICU and require frequent monitoring in regards to their cardiac or medical states Our focus is to provide excellent patient care as well as a healthy work environment for all staff. Administers care that is individualized and is consistent with the plan of care and with standards of care/practice (Reports to RN any change in patient condition, administers medications, functions independently, within area of practice); Demonstrates clinical skills for work area (completes unit specific skills/competencies; Demonstrates knowledge of normal growth and development in the delivery of care; Incorporates patient/family/significant other teaching into routine care under the direction of the RN; Adjusts work routine to meet changing unit and patient conditions; Fosters team building spirit (assist new staff members integration into the team; Contributes to plan of care, as well as implementation of plan; Maintains a safe working environment; Fosters a positive public relations with patients, families and staff. Medication administration, obtaining vital signs, drawing blood, obtaining EKG's, hands on nursing care and some heavy lifting required.
