Trauma Registrar Nursing-Trauma Care Service 62856
A vital and integral part of the trauma team, the Trauma Registrar will be responsible for the high-quality detailed data collection and entry, statistics and reporting of data from University Hospital as well as at a Regional Level into the trauma registry. This data collection will be done through both abstraction from patient records as well as concurrent entry during trauma rounds. Additionally, the registrar will generate reports from the database as needed. The Trauma Registrar is also responsible for downloading data for submission to the Department of Health, Bureau of EMS or their designee for inclusion in the New York State Trauma Registry. Reporting to the Trauma Process Improvement Supervisor, this position will also work closely with the Adult Trauma Medical Director, department of surgery, department of nursing and the trauma team.
