Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and performing a wide variety of administrative and program support activities for the Department of Nursing through the Nursing Business Operations office. This Administrative Assistant role in Nursing Business Operations is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and performing a wide variety of administrative and program support activities for the Department of Nursing. This individual will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Nursing Business Operations department to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and activities. Maintains efficient and effective workflow; resolves day-to-day operational issues; responds to phone calls; opens, sorts, distributes, and follows up on routine mail correspondence; keyboards a variety of text and documents, organizes, manages, expedites, and follows up on projects. Will assist with managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and may attend meetings, as needed. Assists in maintaining accurate and up-to-date position control system for nursing areas to include accurate line numbers, unit staffing plans, hires, transfers, and separations. Assists in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee profiles and access to the Kronos system. Performs data collection, compiles data, and maintains reports/Excel spreadsheets/databases for reporting staffing data. Utilizes online employment system to ensure that Nursing positions are posted promptly and accurately. Assists with the onboarding and maintenance of travelers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in a related field and a minimum of three years of administrative experience (preferably in a healthcare environment) or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and computer skills required.
