Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant to the Associate Administrator Cardiovascular Service Line is responsible for coordinating, overseeing and performing a wide variety of administrative support activities. Responsibilities include: special projects execution and management, serves as a liaison with all hospital and campus departments, physicians and external agencies. In addition to providing typical daily tasks (managing calendar scheduling, meeting coordination, answering telephones, maintaining and organizing department files, opening mail, etc), this position will handle travel arrangements and related paperwork, as well as, create and maintain departmental quality reports, spreadsheets, databases and related systems to support departmental goals and objectives. This position will maintain a professional demeanor and promote a positive image of Upstate through professional exchanges with colleagues, patients, family members of patients, and other associated professionals and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in a related field and three (3) years administrative assistant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Proficient in MS Office and Excel; excellent written/oral communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills preferred.

Monday-Friday, days
