Job Summary:

The Infection Control Administrative Assistant is the principal administrative support position in the Infection Control Office. Assists staff with carrying out day-to-day administrative support activities required to accomplish the work of the organization. Will take meeting minutes for various committees. Coordinates information flow by acting as liaison among key executives, staff, and other employees and the public. The position is primarily responsible for the coordination, communication, and record maintenance of administrative aspects within the department. Will support Director, Nurse Epidemiologists and Infection Prevention Data Analyst with clerical and administrative tasks in relation to pulling data or preparing monthly reports. 

Minimum Qualifications:

New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.

If you are not currently on the NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible list for the Administrative Assistant 1 title or are not currently a permanent Administrative Assistant 1, SG11, you may be eligible to be considered for appointment at the Traineeship Level, see below the requirements to be considered for appointment to a Traineeship.

*Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 Transfer Eligibility Requirement:* You must be a qualified employee of New York State and have a current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title (SG-6 or above).

Work Days:

Schedule is based on a 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
