Job Summary:

This Administrative Assistant 1 will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Medical Director, attending physicians and operations of the Child & Adol IP Psych department. Duties include but are not limited to: organize and maintain calendars for providers, schedule patient appointments, triage calls, and prepare, update and maintain patient charts and files. Will also organize, maintain, and coordinate the information flow of legal paperwork on behalf of the unit and coordinate with internal and external parties to schedule court appointments. Will take and distribute meeting minutes and agendas, order supplies utilizing an automated and manual purchase order process and update daily census reports for unit. Special projects and other duties may be assigned. Must maintain confidentiality of highly confidential and protected medical information.

Minimum Qualifications:

New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.

If you are not currently on the NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible list for the Administrative Assistant 1 title or are not currently a permanent Administrative Assistant 1, SG11, you may be eligible to be considered for appointment at the Traineeship Level, see below the requirements to be considered for appointment to a Traineeship.

*Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 Transfer Eligibility Requirement:* You must be a qualified employee of New York State and have a current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title (SG-6 or above).

Work Days:

Schedule is based on a 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
