Job Summary:

The Department of Medicine is seeking an organized and proactive Administrative Specialist to provide administrative support to both divisions of Nephrology and Hematology Oncology. This role works closely with Sr. Administrative Specialists and Division Chiefs of both divisions to assist with day-to-day administrative needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate calendars, including scheduling meetings, conference calls, and appointments for the Division Chief of Nephrology; 

Assist with coordinating call schedule; 

Arrange travel and accommodations for faculty and visiting lecturers;

Screen and prioritize mail, email, and telephone communications;respond or redirect as appropriate

Prepare and process expense reimbursements, credentialing applications, and medical staff documentation

Assist with administrative aspects of the faculty educational and clinical responsibilities

Provide cross-coverage for other divisional administrative staff as needed

Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the Division and Department

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and three years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
