Job Summary:

This position will function as Liaison to the CNY Adaptive Design Coalition for the Physical Disabilities Program.

  • Will work with families of patients and community therapists to create custom assistive technologies for positioning, mobility, daily living, and social participation.
  • Will co-lead debriefing sessions with student volunteers at the Adaptive Design workshop.
  • Will prototype designs (for example: a cardboard prone stander kit and low cost power mobility device for toddlers with spina bifida)
  • Will document the process via social media and scholarly publication.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and three years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS level of education, competency in written expression, previous experience with disabled population, previous adaptive design experience.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday daytime hours
