Job Summary:

SUNY Upstate is seeking an Advance Practice Recruitment Coordinator and Onboarding Specialist who will serve an essential role in providing expertise in NP/PA recruitment, interviewing, enhancing retention, increasing efficiency and standardizing processes. 

In this role you will work collaboratively with Advanced Practice and Physician Leadership, and the Clinical Team in the coordination of onboarding, developing orientation plans, and supporting candidates through the onboarding process. This role has a large emphasis on administrative duties and will also serve in a clinical capacity. 

As an APP, you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate’s mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant (or graduated from an accredited PA program).

Current NYS Licensure or Registration as a PA or NP.

Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice. 

Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

3+ years of experience as an NP or PA required.

Ability to plan, execute, and deliver on projects and tasks in a timely manner required.

Knowledge of social media platforms and content development.

Excellent interviewing, assessment, strong interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare recruiting experience highly preferred.

Strong working knowledge of human resources practices, employment laws, and collective bargaining unit agreements preferred.

Ability to understand business and clinical aspects of healthcare preferred.

Seeking highly motivated individual that possesses the desire to grow with the office and the organization and that has the ability to establish and cultivate relationships.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, with protracted hours based on operational need.
