Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, and controlling clinical services in designated ambulatory departments reporting through the Ambulatory Administration. Provides clinical leadership to the unit/area managers through development and maintenance of standards of clinical practice, and participation on nursing and hospital committees.
Functions as a member of the nursing leadership team with responsibility for the provision of clinical, service, quality, financial management/ development, and personnel management initiatives, services, and outcomes for the efficient and effective operations of the designated Ambulatory departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered R.N., Bachelor's degree in the related healthcare field, and a minimum of five years experience with management responsibilities plus excellent written/oral communication, organizational and leadership skills required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in Public Health, Health Administration or Business Administration or related field preferred. Previous experience in Ambulatory Services is strongly preferred.
