Job Summary:
Oversee the staff and activities of the recruitment and appointments function, including search strategies, advertising/posting/canvassing, applicant management, candidate screening, timely hiring and appointments processing, and temporary staff placement. Ensure the first phase of on-boarding of staff is efficient and provides a positive experience for new employees; ensure all employment policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements are followed; provide support for the selection of appropriate candidates for appointment to include review of candidate application materials; ensure reference checking, license and credential review, salary recommendation, and background checks are performed. Performing all appropriate supervisory responsibilities such as hiring, performance management and counseling, career development and related activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 4 years of recruitment, compensation or other HR related experience required. Supervisory and/or project management experience required.
Outstanding interpersonal, organization, customer service and communications skills; understanding of and appreciation for the complexities of an academic medical center; creative, marketing orientation to recruitment; willingness to work effectively within constraints of public sector employment setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an academic or health care setting.
