Job Summary:
The successful candidate will establish and maintain an independent, extramurally funded translational research program and mentor and train graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, MD/PhD students, and other trainees. Scientific output will be shared thru publication in the peer reviewed scientific literature and presentations at scientific meetings. Collaboration with basic science and clinical investigators across departments is expected, as is participation in graduate and medical student teaching. Additional responsibilities include contributing to departmental leadership, college, and university service activities, and pursuing collaborative opportunities for clinical translation of research findings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., and/or equivalent degree with independent research experience in either translational or basic immunology. Applicants must demonstrate a publication record, along with demonstrated expertise in immunological techniques, animal models, and/or translational research approaches.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of competence in teaching, mentoring, and training at graduate and postdoctoral levels is preferred. Candidates with a track record of securing independent funding will be given preference.
