Job Summary:
The Audiologist will identify, treat, and monitor disorders of the auditory and vestibular system portions of the ear using all types of behavioral and auditory tests, including Tympanometry and Stapedial reflex tests and Central Auditory Processing tests, for patients of all ages. The Audiologist will also perform evoked potential tests with sedation, without sedation, and during surgery and assess and program bone-anchored hearing devices. Working in a team-based, multi-specialty environment, the audiologist will provide care in a patient focused manner, providing evaluation, assessment, education, and materials appropriate to the patient's level of understanding. Other responsibilities may include assistance in Quality Improvement Projects and Clinical Research Studies, as well as assisting with authorizations, diagnosis, or billing issues, documenting all interventions, and participating in departmental meetings/inservices, education, evaluation and selection of equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
MA or MS in Audiology, Completed CFY in Audiology, CCC-A through ASHA and NYS License or eligible for NYS license in Audiology required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in ambulatory or outpatient services. Experience and interest working with pediatrics. Strong Cochlear and Baha experience.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
