Job Summary:
This position will serve as the Lead Co-Chaplain for Upstate's Cancer Center Downtown, providing direct spiritual care, serving as a member of the ambulatory Palliative Care team, consulting with providers, and coordinating spiritual care for all Cancer Center patients, families and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Has completed four units of Association for Clinical Pastoral Education training, with at least one unit being Level II. Two of of the four units may be equivalent to 400 hours of supervised ministry, preferably in an outpatient cancer setting, for a total of 1600 clinical chaplaincy training hours. One year experience working as a chaplain covering inpatient or outpatient oncology and/or palliative care.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains or the National Association of Jewish Chaplains, or achieve this certification within two years of employment.
Work Days:
8 hours per week/flexible hours
