Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Children's Surgery Program Manager, the Children's Surgery Data Analyst works with stakeholders and leadership teams to gather and use data in support of Children's Surgery initiatives. The analyst will contribute to data gathering, cleaning, programming and analysis of the programs priorities, and work closely with leadership to ensure high quality and timely completion of deliverables.

Responsible for building relationships with the Upstate analytics community, supporting complex problem solving and systems wide improvement projects, building and maintaining operational dashboards, and assisting with improvement initiatives. The Analyst is responsible for working with multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate the most efficient data collection process.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science or related field and two years of relevant experience including experience with data analysis OR Associates Degree and four years relevant experience including experience with data analysis required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills required. Ability to perform statistical analyses and data visualization. Experience creating custom reports, submitting monthly summaries, and validating data required. Experience with clinical databases required, preference will be given to candidates who possess relational database experience including Oracle, SQL-Server, SSIS, PL/SQL, Python, C#, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Prep.

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare experience preferred. Experience with Epic preferred.
