Job Summary:

Primary teaching responsibilities MEDT 443 Immunohematology (lecture and lab), coordinating clinical rotations (prepare and assigning students to clinical affiliates across major didactic areas and ensuring students have met all necessary onboarding requirements), assisting with MEDT 422 Medical Microbiology (lab), with eventual shift to primary instructor within 5-8 years. Secondary responsibilities include serve as student advisor, participate in faculty meetings, and serve on departmental or university committees as needed. Additional teaching and student advisement as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master of Science degree in health-related science. 3+ years of teaching experience at the collegiate level. Experience teaching blood banking (lecture and lab), experience teaching microbiology (lecture and lab), and ASCP certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience organizing student clinical rotations, student advisement, developing new clinical affiliates and maintaining existing clinical relationships, curriculum and/or course design or revision, course and program assessment, and NAACLS accreditation requirements.
