Job Summary: Perform specimen receiving for laboratory specimens using LIS and HIS for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation; assist with problem resolution and follow-up with other UH departments and referring physicians. Will also greet and assist visitors to Pathology, answer phone calls, and deliver samples to labs for testing. Will assist with processing as needed. Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Science or related field (Biology/Chemistry) or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent computer skills, prior clinical laboratory experience, and NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician preferred.              

Work Days:

Various shifts, including rotating holidays and weekends as needed.
