Job Summary:
The Data Coordinator position will be responsible for compiling, organizing and submitting highly confidential data into secure portals. Responsible for ensuring accuracy of all data, meeting strict deadlines and multi-tasking. In addition, this individual will openly communicate inconsistencies and concerns to leadership as well as collaborate with the team to continually reduce inefficiencies and protect the integrity of all reported data. This position organizes and refers to numerous data sources to extract information for use in multiple hospital reports. This position will be required to review confidential data and medical records to identify and discern various clinical information and statistics to be utilized in questionnaires requested by the NYDSOH and HHS. Additionally, this position will act as Health Commerce System HP Coordinator/HPN Data Reporter and HPN Security Coordinator to support coverage for data entry and for new security applications of staff requiring HCS access and will also be responsible for deactivating and removing staff from HCS access upon separation. The Data Coordinator will stay up to date on all e-mail communications and will attend conference calls and meetings as requested, will monitor and report on accredited programs. This position is also tasked with organization and archiving of all data records to both internal and external files. Other administrative duties upon request.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and two years of data management, administrative, or relevant experience OR Associates Degree and four years data management, administrative, or relevant experience required. Must have ability to work on a team for seamless coordination of shared duties, work independently on time sensitive projects, and have advanced computer and typing skills. This position requires an independent, motivated self-starter with exceptional written/oral communication and critical thinking skills. Must be highly organized and prove ability to prioritize work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate advanced skills in Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook and database management desired. Understanding of hospital operations, medical record data retrieval, medical terminology and clinical experience strongly preferred.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday Days, weekends as needed
