Job Summary:

  • Great working environment located at Upstate Downtown Campus, Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists.
  • Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure.
  • Areas include inpatient, outpatient, fluoroscopy, operating room, and emergency department.
  • Adult and pediatric care (Golisano Children’s Hospital)
  • Verify physician orders for procedures as well as properly identifying patient.
  • Performs all required quality control procedures.
  • Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit) and ARRT (must obtain within 1 year of appointment),
  • Needs a Limited Permit by time of appointment if NYS License/Registration hasn't be obtained yet.
  • CPR-BLS certification required at the time of appointment.
  • Candidates who possess an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license or eligible, and no experience will be considered for appointment to an entry level (SL1) position. 

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of experience

 

Work Days:

This is a full-time night shift position 11pm-7:30am) Monday-Friday working every 8th weekend. Will be required to work holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
