Job Summary:

SUNY Upstate Medical University’s mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve through education, biomedical research, and health care.  This goes beyond our downtown campus with all our clinics and offices that provide patient care throughout the greater Syracuse area.  As the largest employer and care provider in the area, it means that we receive, deliver a significant number of medical supplies and more in support of patient care.  With this in mind, we are looking for new Distribution Center Assistant (Office Assistant 1 (Stores/Mail) to join our Supply Chain Team!  This role is vital to ensuring that everyone receives the best care possible.  Can you help us?  Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Report daily to the Warehouse and fill medical supply orders which are shipped to the hospital for patient care.
  • Complete paperwork for receiving incoming stock.
  • Places stock into correct locations and rotate it to prevent expiration.
  • Display excellent customer service skills with delivery drivers.

Work Days:

Schedule based on a 37.5 hour work week. Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm. Located at the Materials Management Warehouse.
