Job Summary:

The Employee/Student Health Nurse Manager assumes primary leadership and management of Employee/Student Health to facilitate and deliver comprehensive quality nursing care and to manage the environment in which care is given. Major functions include goals, planning, customer service/marketing, standards, certification and accreditation, administrative management, budget/cost containment, communication, and education. Ensured adherence to hospital or department and university policies and nursing policies, procedures, standards, and practices. The Employee/Student Health Nurse Manager exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS Licensed/Registered (or eligible) RN required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing is required. Three years post-licensure acute care RN experience (preferably in a specialty area) to include leadership experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. CPR-BLS certification is required by the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree preferred. Nursing Leadership certification upon appointment or obtained within three years of appointment is preferred. Other specialty-based certifications for nursing leadership (i.e. CCRN, CEN) are also encouraged and supported.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday, Days flexible - 7:30 am-4:30 pm
