Job Summary:

The Evidenced Practice (EBP) Nurse Research Coordinator facilitates, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing research and evidence-based practice activities at Upstate University Health System (UUHS) to promote quality patient care and improved patient outcomes. The EBP Nurse Research Coordinator will report to the Nurse Research Scientist. This position functions as a change agent and a system-wide leader, tasked with establishing an infrastructure that enables nurses to influence their work environment. The role requires ensuring that nursing practice is grounded in evidence and that nursing knowledge is developed through rigorous inquiry and research.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible) required. A master's degree in nursing and 4 years of post-licensure RN clinical experience providing direct patient care are required. Two (2) years of experience in progressive leadership and experience leading process improvement projects. Outstanding oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills are required. Strong MS Office experience, including Excel computer skills, is needed. The ability to analyze and interpret data is essential for this role. Experience with translating Evidence-Based Practice into practice is required. CPR-BLS is necessary at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD, DNP, DNS, or EdD is preferred. Nationally accredited professional board certification is strongly preferred. Experience in project management and scholarly publication is also preferred.

Work Days:

Monday- Friday with occasional off shifts based on operational needs
