Job Summary:

While maintaining patient confidentiality conduct a courteous, professional interview with patients to gather and enter all demographic and insurance data into CAIS. Areas covered by this title within PAS are Admitting, Central Registration, Emergency Registration, Outpatient Registration at UHCC, Pre-Registration and 550 Harrison. The senior Registrar will assist the HPSC1 staff with any processes, questions or concerns in conjunction with the Team Leader. Conduct quality analysis of registrations, works claim edit and account level work queues and acts as a liaison between the end users and training team.

Minimum Qualifications:

For consideration for this title, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible list or eligible for transfer

Or

Promotional:

You must be a qualified employee of the State University of New York and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1 or as a Nursing Station Clerk 1

Preferred Qualifications:

Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Work Days:

Schedule based on a 40-hour work week. Monday through Friday day shift with availability of 7a-7pm
