SUNY Upstate Medical University’s mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve through education, biomedical research, and health care. This goes beyond our downtown campus with all of our clinics and offices that provide patient care throughout the greater Syracuse area. As the largest employer and care provider in the area, it means that we receive and deliver a significant amount of mail in support of patient care, the Upstate Foundation, and academic research. With this in mind, we are looking for new Mail Room Assistant (Office Assistant Mail/Stores/Clerk 1) to join our Supply Chain Team! This role is vital to ensuring that everyone receives the best care possible. Can you help us? Here’s what you’ll do:
- Sort incoming and interdepartmental mail using the mail sorting machine
- Deliver mail and small packages within the hospitals and to 25+ locations throughout Onondaga Count
- Expertly process certified, express and special mailings
- Provide outstanding customer service
