Job Summary: The MOA is an individual who, with appropriate experience, can enhance the clinical and clerical functions of healthcare center. This individual will have an opportunity to have direct patient care responsibilities in addition to complementing those skills with providing proficient clerical organization. Clinical duties include preparing patients for examinations, obtaining and recording patient vital signs, and performing standardized routine tests such as phlebotomy and patient specimen collection. Clerical functions include answering phones, scheduling appointments, registering patients, processing referrals and a wide array of other clerical tasks. Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program or one year experience directly related to the medical field; Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a family medicine or other primary care setting. Experience with an electronic medical record, preferably EPIC.

Work Days:

Monday through Friday Daytime Hours
