Job Summary:

Fulfill objectives within the mission of the Biobehavioral Health Inpatient Unit. Duties includes: involvement in assistance with daily
living tasks while ensuring patient's privacy and dignity are respected, data management, participation and supervision of
implementation of behavioral treatment procedures, parent training, meeting regularly with case manager to participate in discussions
and planning, use time efficiently and productively in the absence of specific assigned responsibilities, accept responsibilities and conduct
oneself in a professional manner, identify problems and suggest strategies for resolving issues, interact with colleagues in a positive
manner, maintain patient confidentiality, utilize safe and appropriate handling, and management and guidance procedures when
transporting or working with patients. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program, during this program, the NYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspended for the Mental Health Therapy Aide, SG09 title.

For consideration for this title, you must meet all of the following minimum qualifications:

1: Graduated from high school or have earned a high school equivalency diploma (such as a GED)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the implementation of applied behavior analysis assessment/treatment programs with developmentally disabled
population. Use of computers and application software. Ability to physically manage patients.

Work Days:

Schedule based on a 40-hour work week. Evenings, every other weekend and holidays
