Job Summary:

Infectious Disease is looking for a Nurse Manager to Organize and direct nursing and related operations of a health care facility to ensure high quality patient care.

Coordinates nursing and other clinical operations of the facility, ensuring proper protocols are followed, directing patient flow and assisting other clinical employees. May assist in the interviewing, selection, training/orientation and performance evaluation of select clinical staff. Often responsible for preparing nursing work schedules and assigning duties, oversight of medical purchasing process, scheduling in-service education for staff, medical record management, and direct nursing duties, if required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Nursing, licensed as a RN in New York State, and 3 years professional nursing experience. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience

Need the ability to calmly handle emergencies and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff. Must also possess good organizational skills.
