Job Summary:

Provide initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical, and psychosocial status. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies. Work with the multidisciplinary team to establish and implement coordinated care plan for patients in the Upstate Neurosurgery Clinic.

This is a clinic based position, there is no requirement for surgical first assistant.

No shift work, No weekends and No on call responsibilities.

2. One conference per year in a related field to included registration, lodging, meals and transportation, virtual conference also qualifies for reimbursement.
3. To be eligible for reimbursement for any CMEs they must be related to neurosurgery, neurology, neurosciences or related to the patient population you treat.
4. Lab coats with the practice logo.
5. $300.00 Uniform allowance for articles of clothing with the practice logo.
6. All required licenses and registration fees.
7. Laptop with remote access, Mac or PC.
8. Parking reimbursement.
9. Cell phone allowance of $50.00 per month.
10. Any necessary reference books.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous neurosurgery clinical NP experience preferred. Prior experience in specialty area preferred.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

L5: $92,000 - $147,200

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
