Job Summary:

Performs a variety of clerical and general support duties in inpatient setting in support of nursing operations. Has frequent contact with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary professionals. The Nursing Station Clerk exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program, During this program, the NYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspended for the Nursing Station Clerk 1, SG07 title.

For consideration for this title, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical terminology.  Previous medical office experience

Work Days:

Schedule based on a 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday, Day Shift, hours between 7:00am-5:00pm.
