Job Summary:

The OB Tech assists in patient care, surgical services, and delivery room services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The OB Tech serves in a scrub role during surgical procedures, assists in deliveries, and maintains the supplies and equipment necessary for the specialized care of OB patients. The OB Tech exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist education program, current surgical technologist certification administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization, and two years of relevant healthcare experience, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous OB Tech or OR Tech experience strongly preferred

Work Days:

Nights rotating weekends and holidays
