Job Summary:

Responsible for the daily scanning of medical records, including the daily scanning of loose medical reports into the electronic medical record, retrieving records from patient care treatment areas, as well as answering telephones and releasing records for emergent care situations. Duties include but are not limited to: Prepare and scan medical record documents into Quanum and perform quality review of documents to ensure accuracy and legibility. Makes all necessary edits and corrections. Successfully retrieve, create, reassign, delete and process patient information or transactions in Quanum and EPIC. Processes release of information requests for continued care purposes in EPIC. Retrieves the paper portion of discharged patient records from units and the Emergency department on a daily basis. Operates and maintains department equipment, copier, scanner, microfilm reader, printer, office computer applications and record tracking systems. May be required to run routine computer reports when necessary. Assists other hospital staff members with use of EPIC and Quanum when necessary.

Work Days:

Schedule is based on a 40 hour work week. Every other Saturday and Sunday 8am - 4:30pm
