Job Summary:
- Responsibilities include acting as main receptionist for greeting patients and checking in/registration of patients for appointments.
- Responsible for ensuring that accurate insurance is loaded in the Epic system for all scheduled patients. Ensures prior authorizations for visits are in place prior to patient being seen and for notifying and collecting copayments and payments on accounts.
- Responsible for redirecting and educating pharmaceutical reps to institutional policy for interactions and for assisting visitors to their destination.
- Responsible for tracking and timely alert of no show patients and dismissals.
- Responsible for ensuring that trainee presence is documented in the the log-in binder.
- Primary responsible for reminder calls to patients when automated reminder system is down.
- Responsible for participating in back up for phones and check out and for assisting with scheduling and rescheduling appointments, as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
